01-13-13 Project 8

Hi all
Are you enjoying the build up of excitement to Sunday's big game?  Baltimore is certainly crazy with purple....it is everywhere!!!   Yep! Everywhere you look, you see purple...young and old, women and men, walls and clothing, quiet little highlights and big ol' signs.  It is such fun to see everyone sharing a common goal.  Love it!!   Tonight I tried to make a little something to wear tomorrow during our pep rally at school ...seems like many of the schools are doing pep rallies...such fun!  If my project turns out, I'll post a picture soon...right now it is drying.  Hope it is ready by tomorrow morning!!
In the meantime, here is the last project from the 1-13-13 class.  This card was inspired by Colleen Begley.
The stamp sets are Delightful Dozen and Happy Hour.  The colors are Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, and Daffodil Delight.  Did you think I finally made a project without using the Big Shot?  Silly you!!   I used the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing folder on the Daffodil Delight cardstock.  Also used three punches (L lg 2 3/8" scallop circle, 1 3/4" circle, little labels postage stamp punch).  The Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details was used to highlight the bubbles in the glass.  Enjoy!!

Project #7 from 1-13-13 class

Hi all
Still working on those progress reports...but the end is in sight!!  In the meantime, here is another project I want to share with you.
This card makes good use of .......The Big Shot, of course!!  I used the jar from the Cannery Framelits to cut a hole in the front of this card.  The Fancy Fan Textured Impression Embossing Folder was used on the very vanilla card front.  The You're Amazing panel was made using the Apothecary Accents framelit.  The jar was stamped through the hole so it is actually printed on the inside of the card.

The "Happy"  was stamped using the retired Alphadots stamps, then I punched them out using a heart stamp.  This Summer Starfruit color is not some folks favorite but I have found it works great with many different colors.
Thanks for stopping by....

Hi all
Hope yo'al had a safe morning, in spite of the icy streets.  Take it from me, it doesn't take a lot of ice to send you flying.  The first year I was working in the county, I slid on the thinest layer of ice...and broke two bones in my leg...not fun!  Be careful out there!!
Today I have a cute thank you card for you.
The main image is from the "Oh, Whale" stamp set from the new mini catalog.  I used our new Clearlits die for the Big Shot that cuts out the whale.  There are several little cuts on the die as well (includes an anchor (see the card), fish, star, heart, and water droplets).  Can you see the new textured impressions folder called Cloudy Day?  Also used the luscious ribbon from the Saleabration folder.
Contact me if you'd like to make a purchase and earn some of the great Salebration rewards.  Remember, if you want to come to the 6 project stampin session this Super HarBowl Sunday, I need to hear from you by Wednesday night.  The materials fee is $16 for the 6 projects and you will be out of here in time for the game start.

Birthday/thank you class 01-13-13 project #5

Hi all
Today I want to share another card from the 1-13-13 class.  I included a stamp (Wonderful Words)  that has been retired for a while, but it is a long time favorite of mine...hope you like it too.

I started with the new Vine Street textured impressions embossing folder that is free as a Salebration reward.  I really like it...I think it will be showing up in my spring cards, for sure!!  Then the flowers and stems are from the Madison Avenue SAB (FREE!) stamp set.  Added a little button just to add some layers and texture and then finally the ribbon (also FREE from SAB) near the bottom.  This card hinges at the top!  cheery!!

01-13-13 class project #4

Hi all
Well just back from taking my hubby out to dinner to celebrate his birthday.  Had a great meal (and as always, I did some carb control by only eating half the meal.  Now I can enjoy the other half for lunch on Tuesday....yum!)
Today I am sharing a birthday card inspired by another stamper and I cannot find her name just now...I will continue to look for it and I will get back and revise this post when I find it.
Here is the inside.....

Anyway, I love the bright colors and the uplift you feel when you look at these balloons!  Can you tell that the middle balloon is popped up on dimensionals?  The panels of Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP are a great idea for using what small pieces of DSP you might have left over or if you only have a few sheets of DSP but want to make several of the same card.
Enjoy!!

11313 class project 3

Hi all
How many times have I said "I love my Big Shot"?  Many, many, many times!  This card gives evidence to how much I use my machine!!
The Rose Red base layer was run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice TIEF (textured impressions embossing folder).  Then the pink layer was stamped twice in wild wasabi ink with the flourish from the Everything Eleanor stamp set from the big caty.  Then that pink cardstock was run through the Big Shot again with the TIEF Framed Tulips.  The greeting was stamped and punched out with the wide oval punch and then layered on a die cut label collection framelit.  The bird cage was stamped on vellum and, though you may not be able to see it, there is a bird stamped on the pink cardstock, behind the vellum.  The vellum was attached on dimensionals.  Added a slip of organdy ribbon (retired).
Have you looked at the SAB brochure yet?  Contact me if you's like to see one!

from the 1-13 class, project #2

Hi all
Surprised I am posting again so soon?  I moved my viewers to the top of my to do list (don't tell my principals that I am not working on my progress reports) ...I enjoy staying in touch with you...how about contacting me, too!
Today's project includes the phone booth I mentioned yesterday...

This was the last project I made for the class and it was getting close to the playoff game so I decided to use Raven's purple...  Eggplant Envy and Perfect Plum.  We spritzed the stamped phone booth image with the silver foil smooch spritz, as we did on yesterday's project.  I used the "Hello" from the "Lacy and Lovely" stamp in the "big catalog".  The heart was die cut using the Hearts a Flutter Framelits in the new mini catalog.   Love my big shot and my framelits!!  The organdy ribbon is retired.  Because of the "hello" I decided to add a phone coil to the card - I used silver toned Christmas ornament hangers for the coil - just wrapped them around a pencil and stretched out the coil.  Did you notice that the edges of the stamped image are distressed?  There is a new distressing tool in the Spring Mini, pg 14.
I sure do enjoy stamping with new toys...such fun!!

Hi all
Well! These are busy and exciting times!!!!   Still soo happy that the Ravens did so well in the Playoffs and are headed to the Super Bowl.  The Super bowl game does not start until 6PM..and it is going to be soo hard to wait for the kick off, so I have decided to have another valentine class that day ...BUT we will only be making six new projects ...not the usual eight.  Folks should be done in plenty of time to get home - or to a friend's houses - or to the local bar- for the kick off.  Because the project number is less, the materials fee is only $16.  Contact me to register for the class.
Did you realize that it is NOW sale a bration time?  YES!!!  so many great stamps, papers and do-dads to earn free!!  The benefits can be earned by hostesses and customers...in fact, even new recruits earn special rewards!
I don't want to rattle on like the evening news but instead, I want to get back to sharing some of my recent projects.  Take a look.......

This project is really simple, but luscious.  I love using Pool Party and it works really well with the Island Indigo!   Great combo!  Haven't seen that stamp before?  It is one of four images in the SAB reward set called Feeling Sentimental. Yours free with a $50 (subtotal) purchase.  The "celebrate" image is also in the set as well as an old fashioned English phone booth and a really old bicycle image with a huge front well and a little tiny back wheel.  Can you tell that we squirted Silver Foil Smooch Spritz on the stamped image?  Really gave it some pizzazz!  How about that yummy ribbon?  It is also one of the SAB rewards - you get three different 5 yd spools of ribbon (Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, and Island Indigo) AND 12 each of Pool Party, Rich Razzelberry and Tangerine Tango buttons.  Great offer!

Wedding gift card

Hi all,
Today I want to share a card I made for my girlfriend's daughter's wedding.  Have to admit I was two months late in getting it to the bride ....but hopefully better late than never.   Anyway, the card held a check and the check holder was a pop up, made like the gift certificate I posted the other day.

Throughout the reception and shower, everyone kept talking about how much the bride is into "BLING!" so I used a sparkly paper I would not normally use for a wedding card.

Sure hope they have a "happily ever after" life!

Today I posted two upcoming classes to my Stampin' Up! website for Jan 13 and 20th.  Wouldn't you like to join us for a fun afternoon of stampin?  Into football?  When the Raven's play (as I hope they still do through Jan), the TV is on.. but is muted.  Keep track of the game as you play.
