Hi all
Here is Terry's lovely card holder. She told us she is currently hooked on the green and blue combo and didn't she make a great choice of DSP and cardstock. Her creative urge popp up with the sprinkle of punched flowers on her postage stamp envelope. I neglected to get a shot of her cards OUT of the holder - it was kinda late when we finished up so I will plea sleepiness.

Hi all
Thought you would enjoy seeing the projects my ladies made last night at our class. Each lady got to choose the DSP she wanted and she selected coordinating cardstock and ribbon. I really wanted to give the ladies a way to make the basic folder from one sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock so their inside pocket was actually a small pocket cut in half and attached on each side - the envelopes are secure even though there is a small gap between the corner pockets. In this picture, Peggy does not have her notebook attached (it is in the pocket with the envelopes) as she wanted to attach hers in a temporary way - using a velcro dot. Isn't her project lovely? But heck! she is a wonderful stamper!!

card holder final

Hi all
Tonight I have the final pictures of the project we will be making at class tomorrow night.
For some reason I can never get the pictures to show in the order I want them to so hopefully you can figure out that there is a picture of the inside of the holder - complete with a notepad, pen, and envelope for postage stamps, as well as a pocket for the envelopes. There is another picture of the cards sitting in front of the holder and the third picture is of the holder with the cards in the pocket. There are several versions of this project on the internet but I tweaked the bidea a bit - I was aiming for a way that efficiently used the materials.
If you won't be with us tomorrow night you will miss a great project - nice layout for a gift. Each of the gals will me making her own version as I am letting them choose from a variety of DSP's. I hope to take pictures of their projects to post here in the next few days.

Hi all
I wish you were here with me just now because you would hear me laughing in delight! I think most of my stampin gals know that I do not take credit for other people's ideas. When they compliment me on a project, I will say "I got the idea from xxx" or "I tweaked someone's idea" but tonight I think I have a novel idea - I have not seen anything like it elsewhere and it is the very simpliest idea ever!!!! For this project I used a scallop circle diecut. The idea came to me when I was asked for ideas for a combo shower to be held at work (school) for two gals - one is getting married and the other just had a baby. Now what theme would work for both - well since they are both showers I thought we could make umbrella's. For the shaft of the umbrella I used a Bogdon's Reception stick (aren't they the yummiest!!!) I simply cut in from the edge to the center of the scallop circle and then overlapped the parts on either side of the cut by 6 bumps and adhered with snail. The candy has a mini glue dot on the very end to stick it to the circle center. I think this is soooo neat!! ...if I do say so myself!!!!
Now I spent the evening watching the biggest loser (sure hope Helen wins) and flipping over to Dancing with the Stars to see who got kicked off ( WOW! Little Kim!) and working on a secret project which I cannot show you until next week. I am pleased with it too but sorry you'll have to wait to see it!!

Hi Stampers
Tonight I have a sneak peak of the card holder we will make at my stampin class on Friday, May 8th at 7PM. This view shows the pocket on the outside (there is one on each side) which holds the cards. Inside there is another pocket for the envelopes and a die cut scallop envelope to hold stamps (postage stamps, that is!!). I am looking for a pen to insert inside and another element as well...more about that another day. I hope you will join us. At this point I plan for each person to use a different set of DSP and cardstock so we can find out which colors and papers create different moods for different situations. You may remember we did that at the recipe tin class too. My cards are not finished yet but you can see a portion of one of them sitting on the right.

really cool fold

Hi all,
Today my Stampin' Up! convention buddy, Linda from New Jersey, posted a neat card on her blog (http://mycreativepossibilities.blogspot.com/) and I just had to give it a try. I have always been a sucker for neat folds and this one is soooo much easier than it looks. Isn't that the best? A neat idea that is easy to do!!! I am going to post the card front, the inside, and an aerial view to show you the actual folds. Hope you like it!!

where did she go?

Hi all - I haven't disappeared! This week has been extra busy because my son, John, had two school band performances... both of which lasted several hours! In fact, Thursday night we got to school at 6:30 and did not leave there til 10PM ...long night... but it was wonderful!! I am so proud of the music these kids produce - absolutely wonderful!
Have to get up at the crack of dawn on Saturday to be a vendor at a local fair - sure hope the rain stops because my paper crafts are not going to hold up well in the rain!!
Come back again soon to see some new projects!!
