Convention 2012 My Trades #3

Hi all,
When I go to convention I try to show a little Maryland pride so I chose to take some of my crab cards with me. 

In this picture I used tempting turquoise cardstock but the ones I took to convention were made using Night of Navy cardstock instead. 

Just love the Apothecary Accents die cut!  I am going to be using this often!

This is my all time favorite crab image Stampin' Up! has ever had...mostly because it looks steamed and ready to eat!!!!  Yum!

Haven't had any crab crackin yet this summer - time to call my sister as my family isn't too interested in  the icky parts of crackin' crabs.  fools!

Convention 2012 My Trades #2

Hi all
Today I am sharing a card using the field flowers stamp set. 

This luscious card features the new Delicate Design Textured Embossing Folder for the Big Shot.  You cannot actually see the pattern on the Cherry Cobbler cardstock very well - sorry about my poor photography skills - it resembles lace.  Very nice!
The stem is stamped in Wild Wasabi ink and the flowers are stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on So Saffron cardstock.  The bow is made from the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and is simply made by folding the seam binding into thirds and then placing the legs of the brad around the center of the stack.  We pierced a hole in the white c/s and inserted the legs of the brad.  I think the element of rounding the left side corners of the white cardstock really add to the gentle nature of this card.  Note the flowers are attached to the card using dimensionals.

Convention 2012 My Trades #1

Well I think I have finally gotten caught up on posting my class projects and I'm ready to post my convention trades, that is, the ones I made to trade at Convention 2012.

The first card I want to share with you was made using the Pleasant Poppies background stamp.

I was intrigued when I noticed that there is a break in the group of poppies toward the right side of the image. So I was easily able to ink up the stamp using a black Stazon ink spot.  Then I colored the image using markers (Calypso Coral, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Always Artichoke and Daffodil Delight).  I used the two tags die to cut out the daffodil delight c/s and layered a 1 3/4" naturals white scalloped circle with a tangerine tango flower from the Fabulous Florets stamp set on it.   The greeting is from the Petite Pairs set.

Patriot Father's Day

Hi all,
This is the last card from the Father's Day class.  The cover of this card is not so very fancy - just some rolled wheels across the front with the blue die cut bunting across the top.

 There is a peek a boo die cut door on the cover.  When you open the door, you see...

This is a non- SU die cut which has been glittered.   And the inside has a piece of retired DSP on the inside tool.

I love to do the patriotic images!

Cup o' joe?

Hi all
One more father's day project for you.  

This is another container. 

I really like this project because we were able to use strips of coordinating Designer Series Paper to decorate the sides.  The top opens up so you can slip in an appropriate treat.

Camping gable box treat

Hi all
At the Father's Day class, we made a cute little gable box that holds a little treat.  We used a fabulous set that has now been retired ...but we have a new camping set that would also be great on this project.

Want to give you more than one view of the box.

Here is the treat that is inside

S'more's!!!!   a marshmallow figure, graham crackers and a mini Hershey bar!
Who wouldn't love getting this treat?!?!
