Hi all - quick post tonight. My busy weekend has caught up with me and I am headed to bed - a little earlier than usual. Thanks to those of you who supported the Perry Hall Marching band by attending the Vera Bradley purse bingo. I was disappointed that my trip kept me from attending but I have heard great feedback that the event was organized, efficient and fun! Hopefully it was also profitable for the Band too - I'll find that out at the mid April meeting.
This card uses riding hood red cardstock, designer paper and ribbon; confetti white, so saffron and pink pirouette cardstock; SAB DSP; circle punches, scallop punch, eyelet border punch.

Diecut delight

Hi all,
I am looking at my calendar and hope to get at least one more class in before Easter - I miss yo'al!! It has been fun to do stampin workshops and I did enjoy my conference, but I miss seeing my class gals. SOOOO the question is - would you like the next class to be on Friday, April 3, Saturday 4th afternoon or evening or Sunday 5th afternoon? I will decide by Tuesday night so let your preference be known!!! Email me!! I will be on spring break from
Saturday, 4th until Monday 13th so if you want to hostess a daytime class or party, let me know!!
Here is a card that uses both the oval frame scallop die and the flower layers with leaf die. The base cardstock is very vanilla and the frame is chocolate chip. Inside the frame I used a piece of confetti cream and the flower is made from always artichoke, apricot appeal, and tangerine tango. An artichoke button is in the center and the white gel pen was used to dot the frame. Of course, the flower layers are attached with dimensionals. I stamped the words from All Holidays with my tangerine tango ink. Love that oval frame!!

Occasions Mini Hardware Sneak Peak

Hi all!!
I'm back from my trip to PA where I attended an interesting two day occupational therapy conference. I had the opportunity to enjoy the company of three of my fellow BCPS occupational therapists - ladies I don't often get to see. Even connected with a nice Baltimore OT who lives near me and is a stamper too - Hi Darla!! Hope we see you at a stamp class soon! We had good chatter, simulating information from the presentation, and some nice down time. Even got to buy a few useful resources for work....but I was glad to be home tonight...looking forward to being in my own bed!
I didn't want you to think I had forgotten yo'al, so when I got home tonight, I came down to my stamp room to make this punched card. I saw a similar layout on Vicky's It's a Stamp Thing blog and I decided I had to try it. The base card is sahara sand, with chocolate chip, bashful blue and so saffron layers. Of course the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper is one of the free salebration choices (Don't forget to place your SAB order by the end of March 'cause once we start April, SAB is GONE!!!) Did you notice the nifty white hardware? Love it! This grommet is in the Occassions mini catalog that begins on April 1 and is available until June 30. The ribbon is another one of the free SAB options (in the bundle along with a roll of certainly celery ribbon...you have gotten yours already ...right?) Words are from a level one hostess set...called Sweet Little Sentiments. The punch is the curly label punch. I love the way this came together and especially like the way you could use this layout to make use of your DSP scraps. You know I like to use every bit of my supplies - no trash! I hope to show you another "conservation/recycling" card tomorrow. But for now...nighty night!! I'd love to hear your post but if you are shy you can always email me directly!

Inside mini memory book

Hi all
Here is a picture of the inside of the mini memory book I posted the other day. Each side of the album folds out to the outside, accordian style. This particular project has four panels that fold out but you could easily add another piece of folded c/s to have more pages. Thanks to Dawn Olchefske for this great idea.
Tonight I have been working on a nifty little mechanical project but it is not ready to photograph yet ...hopefully in a few days. Nighty Night

mini brag book cover

Hi all,
This is a mini album made using designer series paper AND two coasters. Yep! The kind you get under your beverage at Outback or Red Robin. Of course, I swipe the coasters out from under my drink immediately 'cause they aren't very useful wet!! I love the crispy chicken salad at Red Robin and feel full after eating only half of the salad. SOOO when we go, I get a "leftover" meal to take home and 4 coasters (yes I make my family cough up their coasters too!) You can buy coasters in large quantities but hey! free works for me!! Actually, I have bought them on line to go with my Zutter binding machine. The neat part of this project cover is the die cut letter - made with my Sizzix die cutter and the SUP alphabet set and chipboard. After I die cut the letter I stuck it to a piece of DSP with our Tombow multipurpose adhesive then cut around the letter. The final step is to take one of our sanding blocks (p 189) and rough up/distress the edges. The Define Your Life stamp set was a logical addition to the cover. I did not take pics of the inside accordian folding album - I'll try to remember to get that up later this week. This is a quick and lovely way to do a simple scrapbook for a new grandma (BRAG BOOK) or for a special occasion such as a reunion or shower.

happy scrapbook page

Hi all,
Tonight I am sharing the 6 x 6 scrapbook page that the guests at Wendy's workshop made today. What you cannot see in the picture is that there is another layer of confetti white top note die cut under the regal rose one. Why? Because when I scrap a page I often have private journaling that I like to include with my picture that I don't necessarily want exposed to everyone who looks at my books. Layering this way also gives an opportunity to include another picture without cluttering my pages.
The page used two top note die cuts, Polka Dot Punch SAB stamps and the full heart punch (some folks use the other stamps from the set and the related punches), the eyelet (or scallop border) punch, and happy everything stamp. C/s includes regal rose, rose red, pink pirouette, confetti white. Nighty Night
