Gorgeous Roses!

Hi Stampers!!
We don't use vellum often enough!!  This card is gorgeous and is so because of the wonders of vellum!

After stamping each rose individually and then heat embossing them, we used markers and a aqua painter to color the roses from the backside of the vellum. Each rose was cut out separately - note: they tend to curl on the edges.  Each rose is attached with dimensionals right in dead center and placed so it overlaps the other two flowers.  The pearl was placed in the center and hides the dimensonal.

Triple Teacups

Hi all
Today's card is also rich in texture.  The pleated ribbon on the right side is luscious but sadly, retired!  The Designer paper has a lot going on so it adds to the dimension of the card.

It take s a little time to cut out the teacups, but each one has so much character that is stiffled a bit when they are all lined up on the same piece of cardstock.  It was worth it to cut them out.   Do you know the secret to cutting inside the handles?  Use a 1/8" circle punch to start the hole and then insert your cuticle scissors in that hole and trim away the excess paper. The greeting is layered on the Modern Label punch the top layer was hand cut outside the dotted lines.  Great card!!

Elementary Elegance

Hi all
The Elementary Elegance stamp set was soooo popular, that it is really sad to see it retire.  To make this card, I paired the EE set with the Pretty Postage - which is still in the new catalog on page 57.

I love to use my punches and thought the punched strips on this card were reminiscent of the straps on old style trunks.
I have my Elementary Elegance stamp set for sale - contact me if you want it in your shopping cart!!
Happy Birthday to my sister!!  29 plus!!

Resume shares!!

Hi all
Sorry for being MIA but my hand surgery has interrupted completion of many tasks.  I'm going to try to get back on track..hang in there with me, please.

This card was from a class back in April.  Good news the teacup stamp (Tea Shoppe, 125547 clear) is still available in the new catalog on page 57.  The coral panel was die cut using the Dresden die.  Lots of dry embossing using the textured impressions folder.
Tomorrow (Sunday, June 24th) is the wreath class and we will doing the beach themed class on July 1.  Join us for some stampin' fun!
Still need the new catalog- contact me!

Sneak Peak at the June 24th project

Hi all
Today I want to show you a sneak peak of the project we will be making at class on June 24th.  I need to know by June 12th that you will be participating so be sure to drop me an email or leave a comment here on my blog by Tuesday.  I finished off my wreath with red, white, and blue stars but you can add whatever embellishments fit your situation.  I have seen the wreath done with butterflies and it looked lovely.  I plan to add a big bow as well.

YOU MUST BRING a SU 2 3/8" scallop circle punch (118874)  AND your hot glue gun and glue sticks.  I will provide extension cords so everyone can spread out and be comfortable.  I will provide the wreath,  base, the paper, and the tricks to get the job done quickly, quickly,  quickly!!  You will be punching out quite a few of the scallop circles so each person needs to have their own scallop circle punch.  It is going to be very impractical to share a punch.  If you don't have the punch, contact me to order one for you (16.95 + S&H & Tax).  This base wreath is going to be great throughout the calendar year!  Make one and you will find you are eager to make several more.....now is a great time to get started on your holiday gifts!!  Think mini candy canes for Christmas, bats and candy corn for Halloween....
Check out my posting for June 9th to see the retired stamp sets I am selling.
