lazy saturday...i wish!

Last night I ran into a long time friend, Beth (I no longer enjoy the term "old friend" ha!). I always enjoy at least a quick chat with familiar faces - sadly, I am more likely to cross a restaurant to say "hi!" than others are to come greet me! Sad comment on my popularity! Then I was cruising the internet today and was reminded of this month's fabulous project from Stampin' UP's Paper Pumpkin program and wondered how many folks take the time anymore to prepare a special individual treat for each friend and loved one at their Thanksgiving table? I know I do....is that old fashioned, too? Folks are too busy out painting a picture they will never hang in the public spaces of their home to take the time to make treats for their special holiday guests. There is no more fun play date for me than sitting around a table with great people, making great treats for their great friends. I'm available if you need a "guide".

Hi stampers!
I have been a busy gal, farming my tomato plant (love picking fresh tomatoes from the vine!), and whipping up some cards to trade at convention next week- so far I have three designs and I will be holding a class after convention so you can make those cards, and more, too. Also, I have been taking a training class with Stampin' Up! about the MY Paper Pumpkin program where each month you receive a project surprise right to your very door!! I have been a subscriber since the beginning and have enjoyed the surprise of each box each month!! The projects are inspiring - kicking off additional good ideas for projects. Each box includes precut materials, embellishments, a stampin ink spot, and stamps! Of course, the precut materials are often used up when I make the project but sometimes I go my own way and make something different of my own design. The stamps spots are helping me build up my supply of portable stamping supplies and I have a cool box of the special stamps. Now here is my problem. In order to "pass" the training and earn the reward, I need to get a specific minimum number of new subscribers to sign up for at least one month. Are you ready to give the program a try? Hi stampers!!
For those of you who have expressed interest in playing with the "all in one" My Paper Pumpkin boxes, but who cannot come to tonight's MPP buffet at my stamp room at 7PM (purchase one box and assemble it here or take it home to do later), don't hesitate to contact me if you want to browse my many MPP boxes. They are the perfect size to take on vacation for when you encounter one of those lazy rainy days. Just throw a pair of scissors and some adhesive in the box and you will be ready to go. This week's class!

On Thursday, June 26 I am holding a stampin class where you will get to select one My Paper Pumpkin kit to assemble during the class (select in the order you sign up for the class, first to sign up, first to select your kit). $20 - please bring your scissors and adhesives. You can choose to swap and share parts of your kit with others or do all the projects yourself. This will be a fun opportunity to experience My Paper Pumpkin in the pretty colorful box. You will take home the ink and stamps from your kit. Fun! Additional kits will be available for $20 if you want to take one or more additional kits home. Upcoming card class

Hi all
Great news!! I am going with gusto towards class on Sunday. I am so over all this snow and I want to play, play, play. So please contact me by Wednesday night (2-19) if you plan to attend class on Sunday, February 23 at 2PM. We will make a variety of cards, some of them have a very special flair you will surely enjoy making (One of them will be a variation on the card in a box that was posted in late January). Tonight I wanted to show you a fun new card design that I saw online recently. I decided to give it a try for my husband's birthday which was last weekend... it was the perfect occasion to give this a go! He loves mechanical cards and this fit the bill.

This is a card in a box. The card can be mailed in a flat regular envelope but when you pop it open, it forms a free standing box. We will be making a Valentine card using this plan for the Valentine classes. Hope you will join us to find out how easily this can be made.

Long time no chat

Hi Stampin Friends!
Where have I been? buried under a caseload of needy kids (and parents)! This has been a challenging school year and although I have not been posting online much - I am still in the stamping game (How could I leave it? I LOVE it!)
I wanted to jump on here today (in between writing progress reports!) and let you know that I have succumb to the predictions for Sunday and will be cancelling this class for January 26th - the class about Valentine's and valentine treats. Instead it will be held on Feb 2....time to get out of the house and play. Makes some gifts for the loved ones in your life!!
I'm looking ahead to future classes....be sure to let me know which topics you would like to see covered.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, STAMPIN FRIENDS!!

Hope you are all enjoying fond memories of the recent holidays.   It has been a busy, but exciting time, in our home.  Lately, I have not been able to stamp as much as I usually do but I have been so eager to get back to it on a more regular basis so I have added several classes to my schedule.  Hopefully, you will find a date and topic that suit you.   If not, let me know what you would like to see added to the schedule.

Classes are scheduled for January 12 and 26, February 9 and 23, and March 2 and 23.
