Beth's Card Saver DVD

Hi all,
I am so eager to spend my summer days stampin ...stampin ...stampin BUT I have to finish a ton of school work before the 18th so I am not getting much opportunity to stamp.  I did take the time to make a DVD tin for my coworker who had her birthday this week.  When you look at the picture, you will see that the cards are not using current stamp sets.  I made the tin especially for her but had to choose the cards from a stash of previously stamped cards I had.

In the next couple of days I will show you the 50 volunteer appreciation favors I made for one of my schools.  Check back for a peek.

Sweet sixteen

Hi all
Tonight my son went to a Sweet Sixteen birthday party for a lovely girl who is in the marching band with him  She is a nice girl and I wanted to make a nice card for her.  Here is what I came up with...

Hope she enjoys it!!
The skirt and bodice are made from a scallop die cut or punch and the purse is made from two hand held punches.

Special "New Stampin' Up Catalog" treat!!

Hi all

I wanted to show you an idea I worked up to share with my new catalog visitors.  I hope you can see the clear book mark holder in the pics.  I used the word window punch to cut out samples of each color in our new palate ( minus the "in color' colors).  The bookmark is two sided, with two color groups on each side.  Keeps those colors handy when you are creating!

Hope you all will take a minute to remember why we are having this long weekend...and no, it is not so I can get a jump on my many many many progress reports...though I hope to get to that too!

Stampin Up! at Open Door Project 6

Hi all
Here it is, the little milk carton bird house we made at the Open Door Cafe...fun!  There is a sheet of acetate in the hole so that the carton can be filled with candy treats...we use peppermint candies.  I love the milk carton die cut!

Volunteer Treats (favors)

Hi all
At this time of year, I find myself making lots and lots of projects - not different things, but multiples of the same thing...or should I say, things.  I have finished the 30 bridal shower favors for a coworkers shower....I posted them the other day.  But recently I have been asked to make favors for the Volunteer Appreciation Events at two different schools.  Tomorrow I will deliver the first set of VAE favors...62 of them!!....here they are...

The stamp is not SU ...but it is one I have had for many years.  The stamp said :"Great Moms...." so I cut off the first two words and made a tag to hold the word "Volunteers".  The theme of the event is diversity - I had nothing that worked for that so I decided to use a rainbow of colors of SU cardstock and chocolate chip cookies with rainbow M and M's to signify diversity.  Who ever said "no" to chocolate chip cookies?
Hope it makes them smile.

We interrupt these Open Door projects......

Hi all
I have been busy doing lots of stampin for my coworkers.  Tonight I want to show your the bridal shower treats I have made for an upcoming shower.

Aren't these sweet?  The bride was done with a texturz plate.  Notice that the flower brad on the bride's waist matches the flower on the lapel of the groom.  Inside the boxes are candies of course.  I think they will add to the festivities!  These boxes are die cuts.

Stampin Up! at Open Door project #5

Hi all,

Today I want to share with you the box we made to store all of the cards I have posted over the last few days.  This is the die cut box #2 with the flaps trimmed on the diagonal to blend from the front of the box to the back.  The green layer under the "for you" is a die cut from the matchbox die and we hand cut the white "for you" cardstock.  Here is the box when it is empty:

I love little holders like this - so handy to have on your desk when you need a quick greeting for friends and coworkers.  I will be repeating this class soon..if you are interested in making the box and cards and some other projects as well.
We are off to celebrate my son's birthday.  So glad my other son returned home from his trip in time to join us.  I love being with my guys.
